  • Overview

    Summary: Performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with staff, customers and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.

    • Process new customer credit applications
    • Perform maintenance of customer master data
    • Perform cash application of lock-box and direct deposits
    • Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities
    • Communicate with customer regularly regarding aging invoices
    • Provide customers with monthly statements
    • Assist in month-end closing
    • Provide guidance to operations administrative personnel
    • Generates accounting statements and reports.
    • Process credits for tax exemptions and apply to customer’s accounts
    • Researches cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
    • Prepares daily bank deposit.
    • Researches and applies unallocated cash.
    • Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
    • Organizes and maintains up to date financial records.
    • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of 2 (two) years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions.        
    • Experience using Oracle is a plus.

    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
    • Work in air conditioned office, outside and workshop.
    • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
    • Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.
    • Reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers (i.e. frequent typing)
    • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
